Come tri us out! It was a cold wet day in Perth this weekend but UOTC walked away with a few podium finishes (and pies) to show for it.
On the men's side club alumni Eric Brault took first place in the club rankings with Nicholas Glennon taking second and Adam Smart in third. Eric Brault also placed third overall in the race, while Nicholas Glennon, Stefan Innes and Michael Sifton took the top three M20-24 spots and Adam Smart, Nathaniel Vice and Eric Chartrand swept the M25-29 podium. For the women, Kathryn Cochrane was out first finisher, followed by Emily Anne and Keara Graham, sweeping the F20-24 category in the process! Thanks to everyone who came down and endured the weather with us, we hope to see all of you for our club championships next year! The club has had an action packed summer with continued training throughout,t our Tremblant training camp, and the Mont-Tremblant 5150 Race/Club championships. Training Camp: With exams and school behind us, a group of 30 triathletes both club h and several alumni set out to two beautiful log cabins in the stunning Tremblant area for exactly the opposite of a relaxing weekend. The weekend saw several group rides, and runs. But plenty of beer and good times along the way. Mont Tremblant 5150 Sprint/Olympic Triathlon: After our intense training camp, we were ready for anything Mont-Tremblant could throw at us, and we took it in stride. The race on Sunday June 8th brought great weather, not too hot, not too cold. Although sunburns did happen. The course was picturesque, the water was warm enough to swim, and the spectators were amazing. Fun was had by all, and the post race drinks and meals were a refreshing treat and made for some great "podium" moments.
