The fun never stops with the University of Ottawa Triathlon Club. The club has had an action packed summer with continued training throughout,t our Tremblant training camp, and the Mont-Tremblant 5150 Race/Club championships. Training Camp: With exams and school behind us, a group of 30 triathletes both club h and several alumni set out to two beautiful log cabins in the stunning Tremblant area for exactly the opposite of a relaxing weekend. The weekend saw several group rides, and runs. But plenty of beer and good times along the way. Mont Tremblant 5150 Sprint/Olympic Triathlon: After our intense training camp, we were ready for anything Mont-Tremblant could throw at us, and we took it in stride. The race on Sunday June 8th brought great weather, not too hot, not too cold. Although sunburns did happen. The course was picturesque, the water was warm enough to swim, and the spectators were amazing. Fun was had by all, and the post race drinks and meals were a refreshing treat and made for some great "podium" moments. |
